Jaguar Land Rover announces redundancies at Halewood plant

Jaguar Land Rover has asked members of staff at its Halewood plant to take voluntary redundancy.

The Halewood plant of Jaguar Land Rover said it has been forced to take action to "safeguard the long-term success of the business and "optimise performance" against the "unprecedented challenges" of the Coronavirus Pandemic.

A statement from the centre has now confirmed that it's asking staff for volunteers to take redundancy.

A spokesperson from Jaguar Land Rover told The ECHO: "Jaguar Land Rover is taking action to optimise performance and achieve further operational efficiencies to enable sustainable growth and safeguard the long-term success of our business.
